Food & Nutrition Network

Access to Nourishment

One Meal at a Time.

Food insecurity creates challenges that affect health, family stability, and overall well-being. The Food & Nutrition Network strategizes to combat food insecurity in children and families — targeting food deserts in Dallas County — through meals, supplemental food resources, and community partnerships.

Combatting Food Insecurity

Meals where families need them.

USDA Summer Meals

Working alongside the U.S. Department of Agriculture to provide free Summer Meals to children under 18 while school is out.

After-School At-Risk Meals

Free Meals for Community Programs

We provide free nutrition meals for community youth programs, after-school programs, and athletic clubs. To bring meals to your program, email Jasmine at nutrition@dfwesolutions.org.

Pandemic Response

During COVID-19, the network provided 4,200 meals a week at local church sites — seven days of meals each week — plus door-to-door home delivery.

Our Goal

7,000 meals a week during the summer and 3,500 meals a week during After-School Programs.

Our Vision

Developing innovative ways to bring food to areas of the city where food deserts exist. A Mobile Food Pantry is coming soon.
